NEW MUSIC FROM TORONTO’S OWN LOGIQ

Logiq, born Didier Dorelien, is what you would call an E.P.E.E. – An Emcee, Producer, Entrepreneur and Engineer.

Having started a love affair with music in his native Haiti being raised on Kompa, Reggae and Soca music, he later embraced R’n’B and Hip-Hop where his real passion to make music began. Logiq pursued a formal education in science while immersing himself in music, learning about beat production, performing and recording through various musical collaborations that range from Miami to Montreal.

In 2006, Logiq found his way to Toronto where he made the choice to follow his musical career full time, becoming the founder and CEO of OOMG (read as: Double O Music Group) which is an independent record label and production company. Logiq also has a hand in event production, and in early 2010, he hosted the debut “Socially Connected”, an event designed to unite talent and music lovers to share in an evening of performances, who became connected solely through social media networking. With the tragedy of the Haiti earthquake in January 2010, all of the proceeds from this event went to Haiti relief efforts.

Logiq’s style is a fusion of Hip–Hop, Soul and Reggae and his most notable strengths reside in song writing, lyrical delivery (read as: his flow) and his performances. To Logiq, song writing is a delicate process that requires a unique and distinct approach with every track. Logiq’s style can be described as pure “flowetry” where he tells stories over smooth beats chock full of wordplay, double entendres and brilliant metaphors. He is also known as “The Hook King” for his unparalleled ability to write “sticky hooks”.
